Who We Are

The Community Capacity & Resilience Building Hub (CCRBH) is a Black-led nonprofit in Toronto building community resilience across the Greater Toronto Area and Canada. We strengthen resilience for Black and racialized communities, newcomers, seniors, youth, and low-income residents through digital access, financial literacy, wellness, and preparedness programs—designed with and for the people we serve.

Who We Serve

CCRBH supports youth, women, seniors, newcomers, and low-income residents—especially Black and racialized communities—through culturally safe, community-led programming

Why This Matters

Many neighbours across Toronto and the GTA are locked out of essential services. As a Black-led nonprofit, we’re focused on closing some of these critical gaps:

While seniors face high losses, youth and newcomers are increasingly targeted too. We provide education in the languages and cultural context our communities trust, helping every generation spot red flags and protect their financial future.

Systemic bias shouldn’t determine financial health. We combat economic exclusion by equipping Black and racialized families with practical tools, like navigating banking and accessing benefits, to build long-term financial agency.

Being online isn’t the same as using government websites with confidence. Confusing menus and jargon-heavy forms shut people out. We offer patient, one-on-one training that helps seniors navigate government services with confidence.

How we’re closing these gaps:

Our five resilience pillars—Digital Inclusion, Economic Agency, Social Connections, Health & Wellness, and Preparedness & Safety—are designed to meet communities where they are. We offer culturally safe, hands-on help that respects your pace and priorities.
